EZ Dresden Challenge: Ready. Set. Link.
September 1, 2012 in Uncategorized
Welcome back! I hope you’ve had a fabulous summer. If you’re here, you know what time it is–it’s time to kick off the week for adding your EZ Dresden Quilt Challenge project. You’ll recall we have three categories for you to enter:
Small/Mini-quilts: Maximum side length of 24 inches.
Traditional Design: 50” minimum on one side.
Innovative Design: 50” minimum on one side.
To keep things simple, you can click the links above or at the end of this post to enter your quilt in the correct category.
I’ve seen lots of Dresden activity in blogland, Instagram, and Pintrest. Our own Colleen of the Busy Bean even went to Spring Quilt Market and filmed a segment with Darlene Zimmerman for Quilter’s Newsletter TV. How awesome is that?? Our guild members have even been busy stitching away on their challenge projects. Some have been a little busier than others (ahem). Quilts have been appearing at guild Show and Tell throughout the summer. There are some real knockouts! We can’t wait to see what you have been working on.
As a reminder. You’ll have all week (Sept 1-6) to link your blog post or a picture from your Flickr account if you don’t blog.
The judges will do their thing from September 10-14. Then we’ll announce the winners on September 17 (if all goes as planned).
Finally–let’s give another big thank you to our outstanding sponsors.
OK–Ready. Set. Link.

I’m trying to upload a picture and it keeps defaulting to the “can’t find what you’re looking for” page. Is it not working for anyone else?
It’s not working for me, either!!
I figured out once I link to the type of quilt I want and it shows up as “PAGE NOT FOUND”, that if I click on “Search” then it takes me to a page where there are lots of the tags for the quilt challenge. Clicking on the right hand side on the right category I want to enter in, then it lets me link up my blogspot. I think you can link up to flickr if you don’t blog. It takes a little extra to figure it out. I just didn’t keep going the first time.
Hey Everyone, those links are fixed now. I guess this is what happens when we schedule things for the middle of the night and forget to work around little quirks with WordPress…
Thanks for your patience!

I’m not certain which of the last two categories my quilt falls into. I’m pretty sure it’s traditional; but if the judges believe otherwise, will they move it into the other category?
