Come and join the guild for a day of sewing, chatting, and good food. The guild invited other modern quilt guilds in state to come join us. Details:
Saturday, May 5
10 – 3
8171 S Jackson St (245 W)
Please note that this isn’t the church we normally meet at for Sewing Saturday. We are looking for a few more people to come early and help set up. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org, if you can come help. On the flip side, we also need volunteers to clean up.
Things to bring:
- Food (See details below.)
- An extension cord
- Power strip
- Iron/ironing board or rotary mat to share
Since it is Cinco de Mayo, the food theme is Mexican. To avoid everyone bringing chips and salsa, please let the group know what you are bringing by posting in the comments. If we want to bring something outside of them that’s good as well.
This month we are exchanging handmade pouches with a $5 gift in the tote. The gift can be a treat, notions, or whatever your imagination comes up with. The tote can be a zipper tote or any other tote style as long as it doesn’t exceed the size limit, which is 12” x 12.” And since someone will ask, the size means the perimeter of the tote, not the quantity of fabric used. If this doesn’t make sense, talk to either Leigh or Rachel at Sewing Saturday. Check the calendar for date, time, and place details.
If you have questions regarding either event, email email@example.com.
